Professional competition rider and Coach

Steph Brownbill is based at her family owned and run Livery Yard, Tynewydd Farm Livery, in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales.  

Steph schools and produces horses and coaches riders wishing to compete at National BS & FEI International competitions. Steph offers the opportunity to accompany her to day shows as well as stay away shows.

 

Schooling & Producing

Steph produces young horses as well as further progressing established competition horses. Attention to detail is paramount to producing the best from both horse and rider. We use a lot of natural horsemanship methods in producing and schooling. 

Sales Livery

We take horses in to further school, produce and in some cases to compete in order to enhance their saleability. We also source horses for clients and will support you through the purchase process.

Excellent Facilities

Tynewydd Farm livery offers excellent facilities including 60m x 30m outdoor arena with full set of FEI jumps, as well as our Indoor school with Andrew Bowen surface.

Wash bay with Hippo Shower hot wash, rubber matting and Dri-mee solarium.

Individual post and rail paddocks.

Rehab McTimoney trained Therapist, Bethan Lloyd, from the Vale Equine Rehabilitation Clinic. The Clinic houses a water treadmill for non concussive stamina work.

Equine dental specialist vet, Vicki Nicholls

Remedial farrier, Lucy Hamblett-James DipWcf.

A brilliant team of experienced, BHS qualified grooms.

Our team all work with us to optimise the performance of each individual horse.

Working Pupils

GAP YEAR - SHOWJUMPING EXPERIENCE 
For those looking for a showjumping gap year experience, we often take on Working Pupils, who in exchange for working with us on the yard, are able to accompany us to shows and receive competition showjumping coaching.  

A CAREER WITH HORSES 
For those looking for a career with horses we have the occasional opportunity for a place with us as an Apprentice Groom. This is  a government scheme offering BHS training with BHS exam fees included.

A year to remember ❤️

This marks an end to my gap year, I have to say this has probably been the best year of my life. Working with horses is something i’ve wanted to do since i was little and this year I made it a reality. I’ve enjoyed every minute of it and I’m so grateful to Steph Brownbill for giving me the opportunity to do this. I’ve had training which is second to none and my riding has improved so much.

Having a full year just with my Millie has been wonderful, words can’t describe how much I love this horse and I’m going to find it so hard not seeing her face practically every day 🫶 She is my other half and has my back through everything, my true heart horse 🩷 We have achieved so much more than I ever imagined, multiple placings, clears and wins at 1.10m level. A height I never thought I’d reach.

So much of what I have achieved is thanks to Steph, I owe you the biggest thanks for everything you do and it’s been the best year working for you. Another big thank you to Caroline Brownbill and Jamie who have been so supportive and encouraging of everything I’ve wanted to do.

I am so grateful to all the people who have surrounded me on my gap year, everyone from the best yard, supporting and making every memory better than the last 🥰

We moved to Tynewydd Farm Livery a year ago, when my 12 year old daughter was competing up to 80cm on her 128cm pony, at 13 she is now competing successfully at 1.25m in the Children On Horses league and trying out for the Nations Cup Junior Team for GB.
